KLINIK BAVARIA Kreischa / Zscheckwitz supports medical students completing their Famulatur. The placement can take place in the specialist hospital departments of Internal Medicine and Neurology, or in the rehabilitation clinic departments of Neurology, Diabetology, Psychotherapy, Hematology/Oncology, Orthopedics/Traumatology, and Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. You gain insight into everyday clinical work and modern medical technology while working in a friendly, motivated team. The placement also offers interdisciplinary exchange, a family-like working atmosphere with regular shared breaks, regular exchange with colleagues and numerous further-training opportunities.

Psychotherapy and Behavioral Medicine

The specialist department for Psychotherapy and Behavioral Medicine focuses on treating psychosomatic and mental illnesses, which can substantially affect patients' quality of life. During your Famulatur, you gain a basic understanding of this field and initial practical experience in different medical areas. You support colleagues with examining and caring for patients, learn how to study a patient record and learn to interpret initial diagnoses.

Clinical participation

• On request, varied multi-week assignments in specialist departments under the supervision of experienced specialist doctors.
• Participation in specialist, wound-care and nursing rounds, team meetings, diagnostics and therapy.
• Participation in internal further-training events.

• Medical students.
• Interest in active cooperation within an interdisciplinary team.
• Experience in the medical sector is desirable but not required.
• A motivated, reliable and responsible approach to work.
• Empathy and sensitivity towards patients.

Allowance and facilities

• An expense allowance of twenty euros per attendance day.
• Good transport connections and free staff break catering.
• Possible free accommodation in clinic-owned residences for students from outside the area, subject to availability.
• Training in the in-house training and simulation centre and needs-based further education.
• Healthy meals in the employee restaurant near the workplace.
• Sufficient free parking near the workplace for all vehicles and bicycles.

Further medical opportunities

During your medical studies, you can also complete your practical year in Internal Medicine, Neurology or Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and subsequently begin specialist training. Rotation opportunities in cross-specialty intensive care are also available.
